There is a certain irony to the fact the MR is supposed to be the car to purchase if you want a track car and yet it weighs more than the RS and comes with a weaker transmission that seems to have problems when driven hard. Seems to me like marketing at its finest!

4 failed transmissions does not a problem make.

The MR is actually the more famous one ppl buy then the IX, the numbers show look it up. Now as in which one to buy it depends what u want to use it for, i personally would go for the MR cause u get more comfort. Like "hondafan" said if you're jus lookin at holdin values it balances wid the MSRP, it's gonna be less than the MR cause of the price is lower, so the decision is about your preferences.

If you want comfort you buy a GSR SSL. You get leather, a better stereo, and a sunroof.

buy an MR, keep the RS owner numbers down :P.

if you want comfort, evo is definately not the way to go. Buy a G35, Acura of some sort. Evo is a track car period it is not meant to have a mushy comfortable ride and heated power seats :P.

When i said comfort i didn't mean all that G35 junk, i meant it as in convenience as in power windows and things of that matter, which the RS doesn't have.

It has very little to no sound deadening. But honestly I can't tell a difference over my '05 WW GSR. Apparantly you can tell a difference if you sat in the rear seats :shrugs:...

If the ride is not that much different and my plan is to autox the car and drive it to work......but drive another car out on the town..........RS would be the logical answer due to the price?

Get the GSR, the difference in gear ratios between the 5spd. and the 6spd, is only about 200rpms.

The boost gauge and the other gauges next to that one look cheap and cheezy... you always can get nicer aftermarket gauges. The rims you can better than those BBS that come with the MR. The suspension, you can get coilovers. If you add these aftermarket products you will come out ahead with a GSR instead of the MR.

I don't understand why people say that, unless the racing you mean is drag racing. The MR is faster around a track than the RS.

RS Price = $25.9k
MR Price = $32.9K

Price differential = $7k

$1.5K = Power
$1.5K = Suspension
$1.5K = More Weight Loss
$1.5K = Wheels / tires
$1.0K = Track Time
