stupid boost guage question

Ok i installed my boost gauge a few weeks ago. its tapped off the fuel pressure regulator like everyone said to do it. its tight no leaks or anything. but the past few days when i turn my car on the boost guage doesnt work for about 30 seconds to about 2 minutes sometimes. it shows no vaccum being pulled but it will show when i create boost. any ideas?

You prolly have a vaccumm leak somewhere. Mine did this just the other day and it ended up being a crack in my tee for my MBC. The whole tee ended up just crumbling when I tried to pull it out.

A little caution, the fuel pressure regulator hose is not the best place to tap for your boost gauge. Why? If, the hose happens to pop off or there is a leak in the guage assembly your fuel regulator will not get the boost reference it needs to increase fuel delivery to your engine.
You can always tap a hose on the BOV side or a hose on top of the engine intake.

interesting because every post i read for where to tap it was before the regulator. humm well if it pops off im sure i will no right away because the gauge will stop working that instant and i will pull over and fix it lol.

If you do tap the FPR hose make sure you at least use zip-ties.
Don't ask me how I know...haha.

+100000000000000......just tap it off the line right next to it. If you still refuse to change it, then zip tie the hell out of it.
