What dayf said..

If your BOV is venting to the Atmosphere you will get crapy mileage. As for intake my mileage wasn't great with my Injen, but since my flash all is good. 300+ for me as long as I am not fully boosting all day. Once you change that stuff back to stock don't forget to reset your ECU.

Bad Gas can effect your mileage some too.

No reason to shift so low on the streets. 3k is fine. Just don't throttle it enough to boost.

Oh yeah.. and stay off the Chevron!

Someone should probably mention that very low shift points aren't nearly as relevant to better MPG as modulating the throttle as little as possible.

Edit: I pull 19-21mpg - mostly non-highway driving. I boost all the time, go to WOT when the conditions allow/call for it, and almost never upshift below 4-5K.

FWIW, I could give a flying f#ck about the mileage. The Evo is a street legal race car; it wasn't designed to save gas, nor did I buy it for that purpose.

what do you mean dont throttle it enough to boost? i shift at 2k with hopes that the tubo wont even spool and better gas mileage.

whats wrong with chevron? it's the closest to my house and it's the cheapest 91 octane is 3.21/gal

2k is defiently too low of a shift point, you are shifting/driving like a grandma. I shift mine no matter where I am at right at 3k every single time and I get 25 mpg. Your boost doesnt start till like 3200 or something so why not take it a little higher than 2k? As long as you stay out of boost and dont WOT all day long you will get decent mileage, but as said before, I didn't buy my Evo for the gas mileage, if you did please sell the car..
