Forget the honda, R1's are fun, but IMO go with the gixxxer1000, I have owned all three(and roadraced gixxxers), if you want looks go honda, if you want speed go R1, if you want ballz out everything go gixxxer1000!!! IMO Just keep the rubber side down please

You bought an STI, you've already made your choice guy. Evo's are great, but if you've already bought a car, paid it off, invested money into it, just keep going with it. You've gone this far already why turn back now. Oh yeah, its an EVO!

You mean to tell me that high-siding isn't fun?

It seems that you are already getting bored with STI. I had 04 STI as well. I had TBE and COBB reflash, ran 1/4 in 12.67... I enjoyed for about 2 1/2 years but had to get rid of it. I just didn't feel like dropping over $5K into the STI to reach another level. Meantime, I had a buddy who had EVO which I always worked on for him. After I upgrade his EVO to 272 cams, TBE, Fuel Pump, ARC intake, and couple of other thing, I could not believe how well it ran.... First time ever driving his car in a track, I did 12.3 with easy lauch and shifting.. I could probably do 12.1 if I had couple more chance...

Within a month, I sold my STI. If you like cars, I mean performance, yes trade your STI and get EVO IX... You will be happier... Even though NASIOC folks criticize on the interior quality of EVO, it isn't that bad... Actually, I like IX interior better than STI interiro... Yes, It is better than tacky EVO8 interior...

I currently have IX MR and I don't even plan to upgrade... Well, it is that good from the factory...

I wouldn't put any stock in what the fanboy "Honda converts" over on NUTSAC (Nasioc) have to say. The WRX's (STi/STI included) interior isn't anything to write home about, as I'm sure you're well aware.

You mentioned your STi ran a 12.67. What mph were you clocking?

If you are even asking this question, then the EVO is your solution. Drive it and see the difference.
