I'm about to buy a new evo for MSRP. Help a brother make a decision. My new lightning is also in. I will decide by monday. How fast are you guys running? What are the first mods you do? How expensive are they? What modded times could I run? Thanks for any help. Here's a pic of my new 03 lightning. I am deciding on a black EVO in stock ready to roll.

Buy the Evolution, it turns head no matter where you are. I think the Evolution can run 1/4 in around 13s..

 

yeah id def. go with the evolution, my dad has a lightning and it is an amazing truck, but evo out performs and is all wheel drive and you can have passangers in the back! yippie!

 

depends if you want a car or truck, think about the weight, starting/stopping rates, turning, all around crap like that... I'd still say EVO though since its a badass car... the lightning is a damn fine truck, but its more of a ***** to park IMO

 

Truck or car, makes no difference. It will be my second vehicle. I want a fast, comfortable, cruiser that I can modify to make faster. I read in Motor Trend that the EVO went 13.0's in the quarter, stock?? That compares to a 13.7for the lightning. Big difference.

 

There is another member here who went from Lightning to Evo (and cought a bit of flames on the Lightning forums for it too). I wish I could remember his UN...try searching around for "lightning" and see if you can't find it. He'd be the best person you could talk to.
