I have a Neo Geo gold system, I used to have a Big Red cab before I sold it.

It's still my favorite system ever, and even though I'm not much into gaming like I once was, I still find myself playing the Neo over any of the other consoles before or since.
But back on topic...

Then and only then is it legal to sell it!
The minimum kms this seems to 'take' is 15-20kms (9.375 - 12.5miles Tops)
I suppose you could order it from the FACTORY, fly over there and 'pick it up', but unless you live in japan youre going to have to get it to where you live somehow.
I take your points on the showroom floor thing though! for sure that sounds like the general public

still between 9 and 13 miles should be about normal.

It's not so much the miles when buying off the showroom floor, but the fact that the paint and interior could be beaten and scratched up from people. Believe me, I've seen it.
Not only does the general public/customers crawl in and out of the vehicle all day long (and the sportier the car, the younger, and typically less mature, the crowd it attracts), but salespeople love to use them to relax in when they're just sitting around talking. We had a brand-new '06 Corvette Z06 sitting in the showroom, and not only did it attract every single person who came into that dealership (no matter what department they were going to), so much so that we all got tired of having to explain it, and open it up for everyone, and let them sit inside it, etc.; but sales staff would also lean against it while talking amongst themselves while waiting for customers (as it sat right in the entranceway).
Same thing with the WRX's/STi's we had on the Subaru side, etc.
I've seen people break off plastic bits in the cars and them fumble to put them back together.
So, yeah, you'll have to forgive me if buying off the showroom floor doesn't appeal to me like it might have once before working in the business.
