Question about Clunk Noise.

Every time I start the car and I shift to reverse I hear a clunk noise before it engages. I turn off the car and then shift into 1st gear or second gear, there isn't that much of a noise. Is this standard? I have own DSM before and this doesn't seem standard, but this is the first time I have owned a EVO. Sounds like the clunk is coming from the drive shaft or the transmission.

comments appreciated.

Sometimes it will stick if you try to go into reverse right away, I usually shift into first....bump it forward a little and then shift into reverse.
