Evo 9 SE or STI Limited
call me crazy but, i like the STI Limited... heated leather seats, cruise control, sunroof.... comeon now.. no big attention grabbing spoiler.. just a nice d/d with some *****... id go for one if i could get it.. arent there only like 400 or so being sold in the US??? so itll be something different from the rest of the scoobie crowd!
In terms of daily driver I think the STi is better built. You can see it in the materials in the interior, in proof that the transmission is great, clutch lasts longer even when pushed somewhat hard. If you want an all out performer with the setback of having problems in the future get the evo.

The question is......Where are you gettin the Subaru from? I know for a fact that the Sti Limited is like next to impossible to get a hold of, they were limited production and some were even pre-sold. My info comes directly from Dave Brown @ Metric Subaru.... im Huntington NY. If you can get one I would do it, because honestly your comparing apples and oranges here. The Sti is a big heavy pig for the older enthusiast. The Evo is a light weight nimble machine!. But my opinion is very biased....

The STi is not a better DD than the Evo. The cars have small interior differences and with the advent of MIVEC in the IX the turbo lag isn't a big deal driving around town. I owned an 06 STi and while it was nice, it was no Evo.
I just went through this last Spring...I had the choice to by either ride......They are both great cars...........I drove both on the same day and in the same conditions.....I chose the EVO MR becuse I like the way the car fit me...plus these other keys points:
Looks - EVO wins hands down....the new STI front end still does not work for me.
Everyday driving - I like the larger size of the EVO for me I am 6' /200lbs - I feel cramped in the STI especially for head room....who the hell worries about crusie control on a car like this......
They both handle great, but I feel the EVO is more communicative - I like the way it feels in the corners, but they are both very comparable.
Price - STI is cheaper.....I still take the MR
Reliability.......Well, you know about Subie reliability......EVO for me...
Gawk Factor - EVO Wins
Chick Magnet - EVO Wins
Mod Friendly - the EVO is, and the STI is not
Exclusivity - In New England, Subies are everywhere (and even the Forester has a fricken' hood scoop - lol) I like the EVO because you don't see them as often.
Seats - EVO Recaros kick butt, Subie seats.........just OK
Clutch - I pefer the feel of the clutch in the EVO - the STI clutch was like an on/off switch IMHO.
Wing - EVO Wing all the way!
.........so its an opinion thing.......depends on the user and what you are looking for - either car will work on the track or as a daily driver.......on an EVO site, the concensus will say EVO........but, I'll bet you pick the EVO when you drive them back to back.......Its up to you bro......either way - you win!
