As for oil changes, be sure to wait the 5000mi break-in period before changing it for the first time(very important). You can log your own oil changes and keep the receipts so in case there is a problem, you have something to fight with. Basically, they must prove what you did or did not do caused your problem. Good luck.
5,000 mile break-in? are you ****ing nuts.
break in is 600 miles...but you don't have to change the oil until 5000 miles under normal conditions....3750 for severe conditions....there is no need to change the oil sooner than that....that used to be needed on older cars but todays engines are a lot better
anyways...i went to the dealer with my own oil from wal-mart $22 and they changed the oil and filter for $10...not bad at all....honda charged me $30 for an oil and filter change on my other car and that was just regular oil they were using....so it seems the synthetic costs $2 more to change....not bad at all...who said evo maintenance was high....anyways the jerks put too much oil in and i had to drain some of it out....i always check behind people just to make sure...anyways i'll be doing my own oil changes from now on since you never know what kid is in there doing the work.....i mean the oil level was an 1/8" over the max level...that's way off...i'm just a perfectionist i guess....maybe that would be ok for the engine but i didn't want to take any chances...i'm just real particular about stuff like that
