hid question
d2s bulbs are designed differetly than d2r. d2s are used with projector lenses like evo's, d2r are used in non-projector housings, like a g35 coupe's headlights. So no you dont want d2r bulbs.

your profile says you have an evo9 MR .. MR's have the HIDs
If you have the non-SSL IX - then you have the same crappy bulbs I had stock. I found a great deal on the forums hear for HIDs. I think it was Import Image; check the vendor section, they have a ton to choose from and are truely plug-n-play. 6k, 8k, and 10k applications.

The D2S bulbs are for cars with OEM HID (That's what I've heard, could be different). In the Evo case, OEM Evo has a housing that fits the 9005, non HID fits 9006 bulbs.
hidplanet.com, xenondepot.com, xenonpros.com are some vendors. If you google hid kits you'll find tons of them.

somewhat correct, d2s=projector ousing, d2r= non projector housing. You can modify d2r bulbs to work as d2s, but you need to file off the tip of the bulb.
