Evo n00b need help! 1st car!
A high school dropout is a BAD place to be my friend a very bad place indeed. Even the army requires you have a GED.
You better start going to a trade school or something quick like electrician and pray they don't ask for a diploma.
nah.
im going to national guard school in a month.
i get my HD a year before all my friends.
i love having lesser credit schools.
.
then im just gonna move to malibu and live with my brother.

At least you have a couple things working in your favor. I hope you and your bro are really good friends because if he throws you out your going to be SOL bud.
Spend some time on what you want to do for a trade in the guard before you go there. In this way you'll advance quicker by taking the right steps before hand.

In all seriousness Good Luck, medical techs aren't easy.
Snicewicz...a 335i would be one hell of a nice car.
After reading the entire thread I just had a bunch of stuff on my mind to write out but I got distracted with work. lol
I started driving my deceased grandfather's 1984 Chevette in high school, and on occassion I got to drive my dad's brand new 1994 Plymouth Voyager. I can't begin to describe how many times I did stupid things in those cars. Things I learned: The faster I go, the longer it takes to stop; Chevettes can drift; I am not invicible.
I got my first ticket when I was 17, and that cop was SO hard on me. Now I know and understand why! (reference the links previously posted by ambystom01) Before I was 21 I already had 2 car accidents (my fault) notched in my belt.
When it came time to buy my first car at 21, I decided against a V8 powered Camaro or Firebird and opted instead for a 68 horsepower Honda CRX. I drove it for 2 years and swapped in a 130hp motor. After 3 years of ownership I sold it and got a 2G Eclipse GST. I think this is when I really learned to appreciate cars, and the resposibility associated with driving them. 6 months later the Eclipse was gone and I had a 2003 Evo in my garage.
Up until 2 months ago I was accident free for nearly 10 years. (Ran over a rock in the road... blah)
Anyway, I guess in essence what I'm trying to say is that learning through experience is always best. If you're used to driving an M3 then perhaps something similar would be a good choice for you. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders so hopefully you make the right decision.

Thank you for giving me your input. I am used to these kind of cars and I think that I am going to go ahead and get the evo. I really am going to be responsible. I mean sure Ill speed but only on straight clear stretchs of high way, and not during the winter when theres the chance for black ice. Other than that Ik will not speed and probably wont ever fully race the car. I am going to be extremely responsibkle other than the milkd speeding which i described before. I will not speed much bc the first ticket i get not only does my car get taken away but so does my license. Thank you for takeing the time out of your exciting work schedule to post on my thread
. I appreciate what everyone has said. I would get the 335 but I think that just may be just a little too much.
good luck kid .......personally i would not buy this car it is way fast ...im almost debating on why i even got it ...well mabe cuz im tired of driving fast cars ....but anyhow ...good luck on your purchase......wanna buy my evo IX..lol
Ok i dont own an EVO, but i think that since your 16 you shouldnt get an EVO as a first car. I know how it gets annoying hearing" You cant handle that much power" I know this because i am to 16. But i own a 3g eclipse 4 banger lol and at times the car breaks loose on me. Start off with something small as a beater. I learned to to drive in a 85 monte carlo. I also learned how to handle my car in turns in a 1g eagle talon. Doing Auto cross for 1 year really helped out on my driving skills. When you think your ready practice some more on anything to help you drive more responsible. I know that us 16 yrs old can think "oh i have a car imma badass" " i can beat him he is in a XXX" well buddy that how it starts you drive around town fast acting like a dumb**** and BAM you crash and if you have a passanger you could endanger there life. Please bro dont get an EVO as your first car.
amby... not a cool guy to get in a discussion with. Ignore him. However, please reconsider (if it's not too late) getting a lancer as your first car. Pick up an SRT-4 or an STI or that G35 if you must. However, a civic is the best place to start. You wont believe us, but it's true. PLease dont make my insurance go up MORE... its already getting a bit out of hand.
