I'm pretty bummed out..
All it takes for evil doers to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Sorry I am not just morally flexible like that.
My car will get fixed, the perp that this to my car will get my full attention and pursuit (call it whining, fuming if you must). Sorry I am just not morally flexible like that to dismiss crimes.
But the bigger picture: since you seem to not have any useful position to me apart of belittling and throwing insults my way I hope you don't mind that I am adding you to my ignore filter.
So long and enjoy.
To the others thanks for your support

I'm telling you don't sweat it, its not worth your time.
This is what you do, get a good alarm that pages you when something bumps your car(Compustar Pro P2W9000FMR) or something equivalent and when it goes off haul *** out to your car. I had a friend do that and caught somebody that hit his car. Plus its added security for your car. Derek
I forgot to mention that the lady didn't even need to back out of here parking space! But she did anyway.
A suggestion ...
Look for cars at your workplace, with the same color paint left on your door.
Also check to see if any cars at your workplace have silver paint on them.

PS: I absolutely hate folks that mess with others folks vehicles. If I ever serve on a jury on a trial involving car thief and stuff they are going to be so found guilty.

Ahh, the exact same thing happened to me, in the SAME spot (only I didn't get the scratch on my mirror). Someone opened their door and hit mine, leaving the same scratch and dent. I was able to get the scratch out with a lot of ScratchX, but the dent is still there, and it drives me CRAZY!! I never found out who did it, and it was right in front of the house! Since then, I installed an alarm with a pager, so I know exactly when someone TOUCHES my car!
Another time I was sitting in my car in a parking lot. An old guy pulls into the spot next to me on the passenger side. He swings open his door and hits mine. He didn't notice me in the car. I waited until he started to walk away when I stopped him and showed him what he did. He was very lucky it didn't leave a dent and only a surface scratch (that I made HIM rub out while I watched, to make sure there was no damage).
His words to me: "It a car, its meant to get bumped and scratched...(then he pointed to his dented old Nissan and said)...look at mine, see what I mean!" Haha... could you imagine that!? I told him I didn't pay thousands of dollars to have some idiots ruin my car and that he should respect other people's property! What's wrong with people?!
Good luck fixing your dent though! I feel your pain!
