GSR is what the japenese market them, here in the states you have an IX model
,2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 IX, HID's are standard and sunroof for that year also standard but no SSL option for 03-04 years , there's the
RS 04-now
IX 03-now(GSR in Japan)
MR 05-now
SE 06 only

IX 03-now(GSR in Japan)
This is incorrect.

03-05 = VIII
06 = IX

Just clearing up the confusion before it hits.

2003-2005 is the Evo VIII
2006 is the Evo IX

GSR is the trim, such as RS, MR, and GSR (known as just Lancer evolution VIII or IX here in the states).
Also, in 2006 the GSR and MR trims are both available as SE. (Evo IX SE, Evo IX MR SE)

look at the mitsu website am not using the roman numbers am using the letters I X thats what the trim model is called (I-X) not GSR thats japenese with AYC, thats what is has always been called in the states, you have RS, IX, MR, and SE trim levels

03'-05' is the Evo 8 VIII-
06-now Evo 9 IX
