mr's are a waste...

the 6 speed sucks... its just another shift you need to make and a couple hundred rpm's arent worth it

you cna get a nice set of coil overs for 1000$ that will blow away the mr suspension... or even some swift or tanebe springs would be much better ont he gsr than the mr suspension for $200

the vortex generator on the roof can be had for 80$ shipped

can't get a short shifter for the MR

and probably going to swap the rims anyways...

so basically the first few mods every1 does defeats the purpose of getting an mr.

all the mods i have in my sig cost me less than 2k... my car compeletly outhandles, out stops and out runs a stock mr and i spent less money than you would getting an MR.

if the 6 speed made a significant difference then it would be well worth it and i would be driving an MR right now... but there's no difference at all... and i could care less about a badge

cheers!

no prob! i dont want it to seem like im completely knocking it... but if the ratios were a little different it would be a great buy... but i just dont think it makes sense. to me its just more work (shifting) for little to no gain

if you ask any1 else with an MR theyre gonna say im completely wrong and stupid..

and i forgot the mention... if your trying to impress people with your car..then get the MR because every person i speak to says, why didnt you get the MR, isnt it the best, blah blah blah, theyre idiots the magazine always tests the MR, but the 5 speed will do just as well as the MR for less money... the Evo lost 2 comparisons against the STI because the MR is priced 3-4k more than the STI, which makes it a bad buy... but the reg version is the same price as the STI...

cheers!

Well, I guess it depends on if you can get a pretty decent deal on it?

MR is better than SE, I own a evo, but now i want to upgrade to a MR( why), because MR is much more faster and lighter, if you want a EVO you want pertformance, why don't you give $3000 more to get a much more high performance's car???
If i can buy it again I will buy a MR

How can you say that? According to www.mitsubishicars.com...

The SE weights 3263 and the MR weighs 3285.

They both have the same engine, same turbo, same everything (mechanically) except for shocks and transmission.

....I was going to say that. Seems to me, from what everyone has been saying, that the SE seems to be a better bang for the buck.

Out of sheer curiosity, what makes you believe the MR is a higher performing machine? Really, I'd love to know. We often see noobs hit the forum and proudly announce their IX MR ownership, as if they've grabbed the proverbial bull by the *****, when in reality it isn't very different from any other IX.
