Ebay intake?

Has anyone tried one of those ebay intakes that look like the hks rs intake? They look the same and I figure either keeping the filter or even changing the filter. Anyone with experience with these?

I saw that thing to. I'd buy it just for the pipe, then buy an Apexi filter and slap it all together.

I had an intake from ebay on an 04 civic it had noticible gains but fitement was terrible. now I would imagine that it would be hard to mess up fitement on a 12 in tube but non the less.

I have an Apexi filter on the oem tube and it is perfect. I also added a Apexi cold air box on to it and there was a slightly noticable difference after a longer run.

If its the one with the blue HKS style filter and the chrome pipe, I'd say just use the pipe and the maybe the MAF adapter. Buy a different filter.Yes, I agree with you on this idea.

If you guys just buy it for the pipe then that's fine, but you have to cut the silicon quite a bit. Whatever you do, do not put on the filter. I just tried it for fun and man I must had lost about 50 hp. I got beatten by a E36 M3 by 2 car lengths. He even took me at the launch. I'm not a pro racer, but I'm not that bad either. The filter restrict the intake a lot!!!!!!!
