Run your car how it is, disconnect your launch limiter so you can cut a better 60', and go from there.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Many Evo's on these boards have the power potential to run 11's, but many never do.

I fall into that category too: I was never able to break 12's with my previous setup (which was a cammed Evo, with TBE, and AEM EMS, etc.).

I did have a decent boost leak though.

Well I haven't had a chance to run with my current setup I plan to get a lot of practice once Raceway Park opens.

Practice is the key.

+1

Your driving abilities are the most important part of you hitting 11s, also good track conditions will help too. You could run 11s w/ your stated mods, higher boost and race fuel, but can you cut 1.7 60fts and better and can you shift like a pro?

You need to be trapping atleast 113mph to hit 11s (112mph is possible, but very rare) and there are many EVOs out there that can trap 113mph and higher, it really doesn't take too many mods especially for a IX. But of all those EVOs that have trapped 113mph, very few are in 11s. Like I said in my previous, your driving skill is the most important thing to accomplishing 11s. Just an example of the skill that is needed to hit 11s with few mods-

Check this out , if you can drive like this, then a couple of bolt ons will put you in the 11s for sure (the shorter gearing of the IX also helps), but not every one can drive like this

#838 (Not my Car or Slip, just an example)

to go along with this my best trap is 115.60, but there are inconsistencies between left and right lanes at SIR in Tucson, my right lane trap speeds are always higher than left but everything elso on the slips are very comparable?
