There are going to be a million of these threads, no doubt. As some have said, its gonna be at least until spring of 2008 (from some reports I've seen) to have the opportunity of getting an X.

As someone who has owned an STi and now the Evo, I agree with most that the STi (stock for stock) is the better daily driver, so keep that in mind. The new X however, will weigh about 200lbs more, so it could be a real accomplishment if its a sweet daily driver while still retaining some ***** to it.

I think you should wait and get an XI or a XII....matter of fact let's all wait and see how many people ask this very same question. Just like a lot of members did about 8 months before the IX came out....

Personally I can't stand the look of the X. I'd go with a IX while you still can...best looking evo so far imo

Yeah that sti was nice...although if it had gold rims i bet he would of kept it!!!! :] I still think the evo is better looking...the ix that is....I'd go pick up a slightly used ix if I were you with less than 5k miles...ask for a super good deal or walk out. Pay it down untill the x comes out and see how it performs then go from there. Don't get a used viii get a used ix, they're already out there, atleast down here in california. Why'd you sell the subi? The 06 stis are ugly the one you had was nice.

That white STI with gold BBS' would've been teh sex. But on to the subject at hand. You do realize that the Evolution X is said to be a totally different car. In the first Evo 9 article that Car and Driver had, the chief engineer of the X project said that they were going to go with a different direction. The car is said to be softer and less edgy. Too me, that just isn't an Evolution. If I wanted softer and less edgy, I would've stayed with the STI.
