Is this really an Evo IX?

I am interested in this car, but I was just wondering if this was actually a IX, because I didn't think they were made until 06.

Also, can anyone identify that exhaust?

Thanks.

Its an 8, cant tell which cat back. And it seems to be modded (lowered, timer...) - buyer beware.

althou if u have it checked out n it comes back ok i would say get it..

Obviously the dealer selling this has no clue what they are doing. This is 100% an 05 evo 8.

i know this may sound unreasonable to a lot of people considering the price of these cars brand new, but I wouldn't get one used... period. From a dealer or otherwise. These cars, in the wrong hands, get very abused. I had to wait 10 years to get mine, but I got her brand new and I treat her right. I can still run hard but with years of driving experience, the car isn't being abused. Again, I know it's a lot to ask since the price will definitely be higher... but in the long run, it's well worth it.

Actually I do.

Most of the mileage was from driving 500mi a week to and from work.
