What do you already have? Also plan out what you eventually want the car to be like, that should also influence your decision. Bang-for-buck mods would be a manual boost controller or cat back exhaust.

you should post this in the newb forum. A good investment is: drop in, MBC, fuel pump, and a flash.

eflash/tune/mbc - i would hold off on the exhaust until you can purchase a quality exhaust.

Driving school and track time. There are lots of good programs out there that really show you how to drive and bring out the potential of the Evo.

dont listen to the nubs that keep saying get a fuel pump

get a MBC = 80$
Cone Filter = 70$
3inch Downpipe = 150$?
Custom Flash = 200$ (or 250 depending on who)

then when u run at the track run 23psi, c16, open downpipe {thumbsup}

have a good day

o yea if u have money left over, id suggest a cheap-o boost gauge, say autometer or something

The two above post are on point.

I may never post, but I feel very strong about this. The IX has plenty of power, enjoy using it. Put in some high-temp brake fluid and drive the car as it was meant, hone your skills.
