stallin probs

has anyone with cams had this problem? starts fine but dies shortly after start. only happens when really cold

cammed cars have low vacuum at idle due the amount of overlap that the intake and exhaust cams have. the brakes are vacuum assisted and when you press the brakes it robs some vacuum from the intake manifold and can cause the car to stumble. this stumble can cause stalling when the car is cold and struggling to idle anyway.

You could try raising the idle RPMs using ECUFlash to help with the stall issue.

wont gettin the cam gears ajusted help the problem as well?

You're still looking at a big overlap in the timing from the cams. Adjusting the idle seemed like a far easier solution.
