stock ix wga spring rate

I'm trying to find out and did a search about the stock ix's wastegate spring rate. And how much over that spring pressure you can actually go.

The reason I am pondering this is because after installing my ebc today I have noticed through several road trips with logging software that I cannot boost over 23psi.

I actually have my ebc maxed out and I am only getting hitting about 23 psi spike and holding 21-20 and then tapers to about 19psi at 7K

Would a wga allow me to raise the boost more than I can now?

actually it's right around 11.5 psi. I measured it with my AEM Truboost in the off position which turns off the boost solenoid so it would run wastegate pressure. I noticed 11.5 -12.5 psi depending on load but I figure the higher psi's are just because the internal wastegate is not able to let enouh air out fast enough. What hose source did you connect your EBC's map sensor too? The factory boost gauge manifold location has a T with a brass restrictor in it so you may not be seeing the correct boost levels.

I don't have an MR, but I connected it to the pressure source to the right of the FPR. I also have my zeintronix MAP sensor there.

yup.. wga spring rate is around the 11's but i see no reason for this not allowing you to boost over 23 psi.. one of my friend's installed a hallman on his and just went for it without no gauge on his IX GSR.. he figured 4 clicks wouldn't hurt and 3 months later.. he got a defi blue racer and wamm.. he was running 26psi

till this day am amazed how his engine didn't blew up or at least cause him anyproblems..

well it must be my profec type s ebc that is the issue. I installed it correctly, numerous people have checked it....

It must be the unit itself.

I have it maxed out on highboost side, and its still only maybe 23 spike, 21-22 down to 19 at redline
