Why Evo Owners Sell?
This question goes out to all evo owners that are currently thinking about or actually trading in or selling their evo, and to all previous evo owners that have sold or traded in their evos. My question is why cuz I have been seeing evo's all over the US selling like hotcakes and even here on evom. I just want an understanding because I cant see myself purchasing an Evo then spending a butt load of cash upgrading it then going through the headache of parting out the upgrades and trying to get stock parts back so I can sell it or trade it in. I mean that just sounds like a whole waste of money that a person can save themselves the aggravation and just burn about 60k in a bucket and then light a cigar from the fire. I said the previous statement because I've come across some partouts in the forsale section of evom that Im like WTF when looking at the prices of the aftermarket parts the person is selling trying to make his money back + he wants the buyer to give him freely stock parts + shipping (eg. ARC intercooler for 1k+ stock evo IX intercooler + shipping). Just what are some of the reasons that you evo owners or previous evo owners sell the car or trade it in?

TeamTurtle got probably the #1 answer. evos attract young guys cus they're fast, pretty rare and legendary. only problem is young guys = crappy credit and $$$$$ insurance. btw this thread has been covered many times so dont expect too many responses

because it is time to move onto something else, not necessarily faster but nicer, such as corvette, m5, etc. But I'm going to college so I need to sell my evo to focus more on school than cars. Sometimes it's just money situation.

If you had an evo, you would understand
If seriously - people sometimes get tired of same things, mods. extra miles. And sometimes it's worth for them to get a newer version or better condition. And the money difference sometimes doesn't play a role.
For example, most of my parts fir Evo IX, the trade (I think wouldn't be a big lose for me) and I could still have my parts. I'm just too lazy going to a dealership. having some sales rep. screw with me, fill out all the apps. etc. I love my evo it's perfectly fine, have 43K on it, but oh well !
Of course on long trips I'll drive my Avalanche though
