Hey, I was going to ask this too. Also, I'd like to get some ideas for tune ups to keep the performance at a max on a stock Evo.

All fluids.
Trans, Trasfercase, rear diff, Coolant, Oil change (if due)
Rotate tires. Check brakes( probably needs them if still on original stock ones ).
PCV valve.
9's probably cost more due to ACD.

I just did all my fluids on my 8 last week and all parts didn't cost me more than $100. Stock fluids on transfer, diff and coolant, bg/redline on trans and royal purple for oil.
If your not mechanically inclined, I would let somebody who knows how to do it.

I would do it... if I didn't have to freeze my but off in the process. Another question... I get a decent amount of smoke from the tailpipe when I hit the boost hard. Is that a maintence issue or something else? Car doesn't loose a lot of oil between checks though. Keep in mind that this is all stock too.

it's been answered tons of times already...

The max capacity is as much as you can put in until the fluid starts to begin to drip out of the fill hole. (all i can remember is it's around 3qts for tranny, around 1 qt for tcase and 1 qt for the rear diff)

You should pick up the tcase and rear diff fluid from your mitsu dealer, it's called diaqueen oil. For the transmission people have great success with bg synchroshift but you can use any sort of oil that is recommended from mitsu (check your owners manual) I personally use amsoil for the gear oil.

As of cars and any electronics, having a bit of knowledge can save you a lot of money.
