Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself my name is Vince and I am a proud owner of an Apexi Silver 03 Evo 8 that I bought about a month ago with only 17k miles on it.
The car was bone stock for about a week that had to change. Basically did the 1st stage of mods air intake and turbo back exhaust. 2nd week the 264/272 cams, 255 walbaro, hallman mbc, greddy rs bov and tein s-tec springs were done. The most important bringing all the mods together flashed and tuned 20psi.

I am really excited to be apart of the evo world. This stuff is addicting finally a platform were I can get more bang for the buck!!!

i've had 05 mr for about 6 months now and have put about $6000 into mine so far so i know how you feel. it is definitely addictive and very hard to say no when it comes to upgrading.

 

How much did your car cost with 17k on it? and what options did it come with?

 

I got the car for 20k and it was bone stock. It was a private sale and owned by an older guy who drove it only on the weekends because he took the metro to work being that he lived in the city.
The car is in immaculate condition for being 4 years old.

 

after all those mods, did you notice a considerable difference to the car?

 

oh wow nice you got a good deal.

 

The most important mod I did was having the ECU flashed that made a world of a difference. To be perfectly honest when I did the intake and exhaust I felt a big loss in lower end torque that was before I had the car tuned. My biggest mistake was driving some one elses moded car so I know what power range I want to be and what parts I need to feel that rush!!!
