Psi????

Hey guys I was wondering what is the safe PSI with my little mods because I went for a little ride today and I had my boost controller on 55% and it was holding 25 PSI an till it kicked me out from the boost and I got a check engine light. I guess I was pulling timing ( not good at all ) what do u think I need to do so it wont happen again??? will dynoflash help?

SES is probably overboost, 23psi is good for pump, anything more and yes your car is probably pulling timing.

You can usually tell when your car is pulling timing b/c you'll be loosing power, pulling timing is how your ECU safes your motor. You'd be pulling timing b/c your motor is knocking/detonating, so no its not good.

with those mods you should run on vaccum only. This way your VTA bov doesn't make noise and annoy everyone.

BTW 21 is safe 23 if you have access to 93 octane.

i have basically the same mods as you and with a tune i personally run 22-23psi on 93 octane with 0 knock.....if your looking to raise the boost, go with a good alky/meth kit and you can exceed 25psi........
