Something wrong with the driver not the car..you probably lifted & pushed the brake or took the wrong line..go to an AutoX & or HPDE to learn car control..

15 turn @ 25 mph turn , shoulda been in 2nd gear and braked prior to the turn,
then you coulda saved your ***.

were you in 3rd?? I was -- spaced it- actually hit the curb backwards

This happened to me also but luckily had no damage. I spun out into a ditch going 50 mph on a 50 mph turn. A couple days later I noticed a loud rattle and figured it was stuff in the trunk. What I found was my sway bar bracket holder thing broke. I don't get how it would've happened. Have you checked if anything is loose/broken? I asked if there was a safety recall of some sort, and Mitsu said there wasn't. I don't see how it could break because the part was pretty solid.

was no grip on front tires for the intended counter-steer/power over slide
an it jumped to 'really fast and sideways in 1.8 seconds
hella lame, I'm goin back to driftin the go-karts

its the driver. i almost spun out yesterday going the same speed while trying to break a yellow light and it was wet with a little rain. the front was sliding and good thing i can controll it. yours on the other hand, the back just spun out? if it was wet and slippery, the front shoudlve slid as well or you maybe just going way too fast.

if you live in the same area from where it happend, find out if there are more accidents like yours on the same spot. if there are few, then maybe you were going too fast and need more practice and time to get the feeling on how your evo handles. driving an evo doesnt mean it can do anything. remember, it has limits

It's called goign to fast into a turn which then turn into panic and when you panic you hit the brakes. I was merging on a major highway at 35mph( winter time) and hit some black ice, just counter steer and punch it and luckily it corrected. Bottom line is we all did it once. I did it when I was 18.

Luckily you are alive and well, crap I was down Packer Ave in Phila,pa yesterday night and almost had the same prob. Luckily it was dry. I exited a 10mph Off-ramp at 40+ miles per, it was hella scary and i wanted to test out the handling. I felt a bit of skid in my rear and was really tempted to hit the brake (for some reason i didnt), for those of you who live around here, its a sick turn. I was very lucky to make it out, the handling was insane! And i shouldnt have tested on that turn. It off-ramps right into a traffic light also. I think you were just going abit too fast and the brakes threw you off, i think if i had hit/slam my brakes even a bit, i'd probably would have flew off the ramp. *whew* Be careful next time!

Note to self: Dont try crazy stunts, Need to autoX a few first.

So then, did you **** your pants during the accident? Personally I think that is the only question that remains to be answered.

I just can't see it happening at that speed..
unless you drove hard into the corner then stuffed the brakes
causing the weight to come off the rear tires.
Or had the clutch in while braking hard through the corner
which also would increase the chance of making you loose grip in a turn...i think....
I don't know just seems odd.. you sure you were doing 25?

x2

I can guarantee that that is what happened. Alot of people do not take weigh transfer into consideration when is comes to hard corning, neither do I until I have to counter steer...

thats not fixable??? my evo was 4 billion jabillion times worse and it turned out just perfect... hmmmm GET IT FIXED! (if u still have it)

but as for the evo.. hm who knows.. the way u make it sound is the car just spun right out. Im sure it can happen with a road hazard of some sort or maybe bad tires.... but then again we've all spun out at some point so dont be blehhh if u think it mighta been driver error.....
