Can I please get some help on ID'ing some mods (56K beware)

I purchased an '05 Evo a couple days ago. And Id like to get some help on identifying some mods that are on it.

Its got an XS Power Manifold. Is this a quality manifold? It looks to be constructed fairly well (thick flanges, pretty decent welds, etc..)

Anyone know what kind of intake this is? And whats the deal with the rag on the filter?

Any chance you can identify this exhaust?

I noticed that the exhaust is rubbing on the oil pan. The other night, with a bad shift, the car jerked and there was a "clunk" that came from the bottom (or so I think) of the car. I dont think it was tranny related. And my first suspicion was that some aftermarket may not be mounted correctly. Could this be the culprit?

Also, it looks like someone home made a boost controller. It is inline from the BOV tee to the wastegate. Should I hook it back up stock? Ive read around the forums where most people's stock boost only stays at 1.5 for a few seconds. My gauge goes a liitle past 1.5, and stays there until I let off of it.

With all that is done to the car, I probably need to get the ECU checked out, right?

Sorry if this is too many pics for one thread. Id be happy to split it up if need be..

Thanks in advance
CB

take off the rag on the intake and guarantee a surprise lol ...ghetto as hell

mbcc looks simple and works, if you're uncertain take it off and put back to stock, you're going to need the stock lines though.

exhaust for some reason Tbxs comes to mind...probably not.

Congrats on the evo

wow that filter needs to go away on the intake, the manifold will crack over time, so get a stock one ported.. that boost controller, get a better one like the forge.... the exhaust looks like a magnaflow or something like that, I would get rid of that and get a buschur and sell that thing... and go for a retune.

But nothing's detrimental??.... I will most definitely get some quality parts when the time comes. But at the moment, Im trying to tackle everything that needs to be fixed. And by fixing, I mean replacing with good aftermarket parts.

Thanks

that is a greddy cat back exhaust that stirred up a some crap with on another forum when Al made some coments on it using dyno pulls with the stock down pipe vs a full tbe buschur setup.

that mbc isn't connected to the diverter valve is it? probably just the angle of the pics
that could be your noise (the downpipe/oil pan) I would get that adjusted properly and take care of the rubbed area in the oil pan thats rusting already before it turns into a hole and a much bigger problem

hmm maybe that intake would be detrimental... I have no way of concluding that the car is fine though.. would have to be there... you also need to get it check out on a dyno with a wideband....

Im hoping that is the noise. Im sure that it may be a combo of motor mounts, and this close proximity. I will get under it and try to see what I can do.

Will do. Im trying to find a tuner in Boise that can look at it. But Im not confident that anyone in Boise has a AWD dyno.

can you take a pic of the intake without the fabric on it? i would get a new downpipe or get it adjusted properly, a new mbc (forge or hallman).

thats a dust cover, it gives extra protection, its not just a rag you can get those for various filters.

if the boost controller works fine why change it? it looks tough to me. it looks like that nut can lock the adjustment knob inplace which is a nice feature.

you may need to check out the condition of the motor/transmission mounts, that could cause the clunk.
