Thanks for all the help guys!

What an engine can handle is such a relative term..

Assuming you mean pump gas and I would assume the worst possible pump gas then STAYING at 1.5Bar or 21Psi isn't so bad. Going above that is certainly risky and even more so if your on the crappy 91 octane we are limited to here.

Noob question!!!

Which direction do I turn the MBC to turn the boost down? Clockwise or counterclockwise? Does reducing the flow or increasing the flow increase boost?

should be counter clockwise.

Get the boost down for now, and get a 30psi boost gauge.!

Thanks! And that is the plan.

edit: And how sensitive should this thing be. We talking a 1/4 turn for a few psi, or multiple turns?

Thanks again.

Really depends on the boost controller, Ive seen that most manual controllers one full rotation usually equals about 2/3 psi

K&N filter on stock intake this is good, maybe 1hp+ with full intake

Homemade MBC if it holds boost its good, all mbc are jsut spring and ball in a cylinder... if u want a pretty flashy one more power 2 u
XSPower intercooler this is fine

GReddy cat back (I think) looked very straight, v clamps are nice... leave it

Cheap DP get a new one
Ebay 02 Housing (SS Autochrome?) this is good, every1 runs them

Cheap LICP (Probably XSPower) metal is metal, its the ams design for cheap get it to fight nicely and keep it.

Cheap UICP (Probably XSPower) same thing here... no need to change it.

Due to the Ebay nature of things here, Its probably got a stock tune..

Needless to say, EVERYTHING is going to get replaced sooner or later. Im thinking that I need a decent DP first. Then a reflash, and a wideband. Im not going to get too far into the tuning on my own. Id like to just get a mail flash to get me going. And I'll do the research before I make any changes.

Anyhow, its been a long afternoon/night.

boost leak test it.....

i would get a new downpipe first, then a tactrix cable so if you have a lot of knock any1 on here can help you add some fuel and take out some timing just to have it safe. then get the wideband and either mess around tuning it urself, its much easier than you would ever guess with ECUflash or you can have it tuned online for 50$... with the wideband you can get a custom tune. if you dont have a wideband then its just guessing what your fuel is.

cheers!

+1 on leak.

Sounds like you had an interesting prior owner.

Well, just made a little purchase(s).. I ordered the 3" SS DP, steering column 2 guage pod, and the BR MBC from Buschur. Also, an Autometer boost gauge (30-0-30) and an Autometer oil pressure gauge from Summit. Also, the adapter fitting for the oil pressure gauge. I figure later on I will go with a cat back setup from BR as well. But what Ive got should be fine for a little while. I did some searching on leak testing, and Im gonna take care of that in the next couple days. One of my computer guys at work is loaning me a laptop to get a flash with. After he replaces one of the other guy's laptop, he's gonna give me the older one. Gotta get a cable, and send my original flash off. I figure I'll just use Jestr. I feel like Im going to at least have my hands around this thing now. And at least have some peace of mind.

I kinda wish I had a little more experience when I made the purchase. But its really hard to say that, because I LOVE this car!

Im not sure what the PO was thinking... But she's in good hands now.

edit: the cable is coming too...

good stuff. Nice purchases.
Jestr is a solid choice for a flash. Keep searching for pro's and cons on the site, if you get stuck shoot the question here or make a new thread and someone should give you some solid advice for advancing.

+1 on being in good hands

Also ordered a Walbro 255... This morning I turned the MBC out a 1/2 turn. Now Im safely at stock levels.

Do I need to capture my original ecu image before I can get a tune from Jestr? Or can he just send me a new one, without ever seeing my original?

Yeah he'll need a shot of what you're working with so he can tweak it or he'll just send you a complete base map flash.

Old, but the exhaust is Perrin not Greddy. The car looked to be relatively hated on when you bought it....how is it now?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?

id say go for a ported and coated stocker, the rag on the intake is kinda like an extra guard against stuff getting through , id say go for a hallman boost controller cheap and works great ,and that exhaust reminds me of one that sum 95-99 eclipses run around here
