Quick WB installation question

First off, can someone ID this peice? And can I flip this guy over (to where the bung is located on the top, and front, and use it for my O2 sensor? Most of what Ive read says that the WB should be installed about 18" from the end of the DP. Is that just if you are running a cat? Im assuming this isnt a cat, it was on the car when I bought it.
Thanks
CB

edit: the rear of the car is to the left in pic, and front is right.

It looks like a resonated test pipe. If it is, the postion is fine.

So I flipped the resonator around so that the sensor would be in front of it, and there isnt enough room because of the driveshaft. If I flip it back around, with the sensor still at the top, it will clear everything, but the sensor will be behind the resonator. Will the resonator affect my A/F ratio, if install the sensor behind it?

I don't think it will be much of a drastic change.

The resonator is just a tube with baffles inside, it's still straight through, so it shouldn't affect the a/f reading.
If it's a high flow cat, it's a different story.
