electornic rust protection

My past car was a 2000 vw golf and it had a electornic rust protector. I was wondering if that would help my evo against rust. I had my car for 7 years and I live in hawaii and car exposed to salt water daily. Did anybody try electornic rust protector

Sounds more like a gimmick to take money.

I know of a trick to remove rust from metal parts. It involves dumping a rusted part into a chemical which has electricity running through it.

oxidation can generate electricity, but it can't hinder it, might be more detailed but that is just a basic outlook, electricity is a byproduct only, not a catalyst nor detrimental

Seems legit to me, however as for actual results... hard to say.

Pretty much your're talking about "PRO COAT" that is what is common amongst dealerships in Hawaii.. I lived in Hawaii aswell.. had it on my 350Z.. and it actually works.. I saw a 2005 BMW at the track back in the day.. with paints chips and you can see "RUST" lol.. asked him if he had PRO Coat and he didnt know what I was talking about.. showed him my gizmo, and the rust on his chips.. and he went WOW..

when i traded in the Z to Hawaii Mitsu I took it off.. got the evo w/o it to spare me some money.. and installed on the EVO right away.. a must have in Hawai if you plan to stay long.. and any other place in similar weather conditions.. and yes it works ppl..
