Out with the 350Z, In with the EVO IX SE!!

Just picked up my new 2006 GG EVO IX Se a month ago, and I love it! I have been driving a 2003 Nissan 350Z since 2003, and it was an awsome car! But when I found out the EVO was getting redone in september (I realy dont like the X!) I had to have one NOW! It wasnt easy finding the one I wanted eigther!!

I have alot of tuning experience on my 350Z, mostly bolt-ons, but I DID THEM!! Never got to boosting it though, so driving this AWD turbo is sweet! (ALOT different than RWD!!) I did the proper break in, and have sine installed a XS Power TBE, B&M Short shifter w/Greddy shift knob, and the Stewart Warner boost gauge is going in this weekend! This car is MUCH more mod frienly than my Z was! The Z's internals were only good up to 400whp, and that is pushing it! I cant belive how much less $$$ you have to spend on an EVO to make big pwoer!

Anyways, just wanted to introduce my self and say that I have been trolling here for some time, and you guys realy seem to have this car figured out! I spent alot of time on my350z.com, and this site is set up much like that one, so finding things hasnt been hard at all. I even found the search button without someone making me feel like a NOOB! Some things will never change! Later guys!

welcome to the community i used to have a g35 coupe myself and had basic bolts ons but the potential for mods on those are weren't very efficient when it came to $/hp. take some time and get used to the awd and turbo maybe a couple of track sessions to really push the car to its limits then throw some more bolt ons like drop in filter, MBC, ported manifold, and a tune... the car will be a whole new monster.then you can go to springs or coilovers and then AHHH the mod bug just doesnt stop bitting haha... but once again welcome welcome... your gonna love the car

Yea Redline06, I almost didnt want to part with my 03 Pikes Peak White Track edition!! But that AWD turbo was calling me! It was that or put $6000 into the motor of my Z, and still not have AWD! Once I found out it was pretty much **** or get off the pot with the IX, I had to do it! Looking back (ha,ha a whole month!) I would deffinatly do it again, and again, and, you get the idea!

Thanks 2 deep. Yea that mod bug just doesnt let up! I think after an intake, fuel pump, MBC, Flash, and some springs im just going to drive it for a while! Id like to see 320whp or so while im driving it though. After that though, im going to need more!!!

Welcome Deezee! 4 months now since I traded my Z and loving every moment behind the wheel of the Evo. Must admit, I do miss all the stares and questions on the Z. But the ride and drive of the Evo are well worth it!
