When to remove pill?

In what situation is it necessary to remove the pill for increased boost?

If not necessary, when is it a good idea?

Just make sure your tuned for it if you decide you want to remove it, other wise leave it alone...Or get a Boost controller and call it a day.

So with a MBC, you can just leave it alone or do you have to take it out?

You will replace the line with the pills in it if you install a MBC.

80210, I'm still miffed why you don't take my suggestions or ask me this stuff. You have lots of direct help right here in CO who can answer these incredibly newbie questions in a heartbeat. We can even show you in person exactly what everything is and how everything works.

I thought you had the plan weeks ago...TBE, MBC, flash. That's it...easy...can't get easier nor cheaper. You have a great flash tuner right in your back yard that will save you over $500 from what you planned on paying, and an MBC is only $85.

You don't re-use the stock lines with the MBC, but I don't know why you'd refer to it as "removing the pill." People do that to artificially raise boost through the ECU without any boost control, so it's not relevant to having an MBC.

I'm a bit new to MBC's, when you turn it up, you can set it to max at something or does it just increase boost. In otherwords, can you set it at say 24 and no matter what you won't exceed 24?

It does both. It turns up (or decreases) the stock boost. And yes it will only max out on what you turn it to (unless you have boost spikes). And the answer to your question is obviously yes
