Dude chill out.. I could careless what he gets but what I do care about is the miss information you are giving ppl... not everybody is gonna modify their evo you know.. I got friends with stock 03's.. some like it like that, some care about their warranty..

In fact one of my buddies traded his stock 04 with 47XXX on the clock for a GG IX MR SE just for the plain fact that his newly wedded wife told him she would get it for him if he didn't mod it and used it as the family car while him still getting his adrenaline rush once in a while.. just like he has being doing.. and look at him.. he got the MR cuz he said the RS is racers.. and that MR for that enthusiast family man..

So dont just tell everyone who ask you for an opinion on what to get, that the MR sucks.. when for some of them the RS/GSR suck.. It just depends on what exactly are they looking for.. and since Thread Starter didn't especify his purpose I would like to ask him to give him a more clear view of what kind of evo suits him the best..

What I'm trying to say is there no advantage in getting the MR for performance reasons over the SE. That's it. I have done no misinformation whatsoever.

that makes sense, but i guess all the others here "automatically assume" that the person who plans on owning an Evo will add mods and race the heck out of it.

So your telling me that a IX MR wouldn't out handle a IX RS or IX GSR on a circuit course like willow springs, laguna seca or The ring, when not just magazine articles but my damn self have compared against my buddies.. and actually am faster than theirs and so have the other MR's with me that day..

Either my friend's suck at driving, am a heck of a driver or are we living the reality of the MR being the Mitsubishi Racing benchmark out of the box.. The difference wasn't much I'll tell you that but once again the keyword is "Existent" meaning it happens.. and the articles I read weren't just blowing smoke up my ***.. now in a stright line there is minimal diff. sometimes the MR is faster or the RS or the GSR is the fastest out of the 3... none to exceed diff in .1-.9secs between each other..

So if your talking about overall peformance testing out of the car.. yes the MR is a bit better but hey.. didn't <--- yeah this guys, badge the car as an MR to represent what they were all about.. maybe some one needs to do some reading.. and test it like some of us really do.. not just buy the car like is a race to the top for power and who can pass the 1320ft mark the fastest.. yes evo's got quick accel.. but that's not the only thing they offer.

uhmm.. you guys know somethign wonder how long will it take for warrtalon to spot this thread and preach..

Okay, I will make myself clear. There is no good reason to get an Evo 9 MR over an Evo 9 SE. The extra $3,000 you pay for the six speed and Bilsteins is totally not worth it. Those two items will not give you an advantage on the racetrack.

MR handles slightly better but for the extra 3,000 when you can get an SE is not worth it....and this is coming from someone who owns both an MR and SE well my dad owns the MR lol....basically for $3000 difference you can get around 340whp and a nice set of coliovers for less than $3k

I have MR and I love every single pennies I spend on it. If you search on the net
you will find some info about MR, it faster on the track with 6spd and handling. I love the down shift on highway when someone try to race me. Oh and it ran less RPM on highway two, softer suspension and more top end. I beat acura NSX (dual mod exhaust) from 60mph to 160mph with just catback.

i have a MR too and i got it cuz i liked 6spd. and the sunroofless deal. and MR's have a better ride quality and at the same time it handles better than regular ones.

RS? ehh... i like having power everything. MR is just bad ***.
