Install time??

I posted this in the engine section but im not getting any answers

Im going to have this set up installed and im wondering how long it would take to install all these parts. Installer is very knowledgeable/capable.

AMS 50trim Turbo Kit
CAMS
FMIC CORE
ROD BOLTS
A/F Gauge /MBC/PLUGS
Meth Kit (Partially installed, all wiring and pump finished)
INJECTOR

I got a quote back and it was way more then I was anticipating. I had spoke with a few shops and since a lot of the parts can be installed at the same time the total time was way less then if your were installing all these parts seperatley. Can anyone give me some guidelines? Much thanks!

Everything but the rod bolts should take about 12-15 hours by my estimates. I dont have a lift and do everything on the floor of my home garage. I am also going by times it has taken me to this type of work before.

Rod bolts will add some time because you have to remove the front mount brace and the oil pan to get to them.

I would charge roughly for about 15 hours of work for installing all those parts, but it could take longer with them rod bolts. The one thing that you have to consider that I don't see listed is getting your car tuned after all these parts are installed. Would that be done with the same shop?

If they were $100/hr

AMS 50trim Turbo Kit - $400
CAMS - $200-$300
FMIC CORE - $100 - $150 (piping?)
ROD BOLTS - why? get head studs
A/F Gauge /MBC/PLUGS - $100-$200, depending on where you put ur MBC
Meth Kit (Partially installed, all wiring and pump finished) - $?
INJECTOR - Free

They are tuning it aswell. The labor quote I got was really high, 18 hrs for everything. So it would seem im not off my rocker and it is really high...

Seems reasonable to me. What does the shop charge per hour?

well lets see. I think that is pretty fair.

Almost every shop in the PacNW charges $70-80/hr for labor

50 TRIM INSTALL AMS = $420-$480
CAMS = $210 - $240
FMIC CORE = $105 - $120
ROD BOLTS = $210 -$240
GAUGE/MBC/PLUGS/REAR 02 SENSOR = $175 - $200
Meth kit = well, depends on what needs to be fixed.
ROAD TUNE (~2 hours)= $140-$180
Injectors install = $35-$40

So that gives me a safe labor estimate of ~$1295 - $1460 without even touching the meth kit. Lets give a rough estimate of 3 hours on the meth kit, depending on whats messed up and what needs to be fixed. So add another $210 - $240 on top of that

DJ Past-its pretty obvious your the shop im dealing with since your posting estimates for items i didnt include in my original thread. Im just looking for other opinions to see if your quote is high or not. I have not mentioned your shop or name and im not bashing you in any way. I think you guys do great work and were highly recommended.

If you are talking about the shop I am thinking it is yes they are highly recommended and even though I do all my own work, when I need something done that I do not have the tools for I have driven down there from Seattle just to get the work done, because I know I can trust them with my EVO
