The way I always see it is... EVO- more of a weekend track car.
STi- more of a daily driver car.

Well it is ultimately your decision, but it sounds like the STI or Evo would be alot of car for you... especially because you made that comment on "automatic" transmission.

I would have to agree with some of the responders to this post. Statistically because of your age and gender it would seem more likely for you to get into an accident. However, I disagree with their ultimate reasoning for bringing this arguement to attention saying you will increase the cost of insurance for the rest of us. True, insurance will continue to rise for the population of Evo owners, but even more so it's upsetting to see young people getting seriously hurt or even die because they couldn't take their foot off the pedal. I suppose you know better than others how well you can handle the tempation to race the ricer next to you while not being on a track.

Either way you go, take the time to do more research and make the educated decision for yourself.

Best of luck! ... actually you are under 21.... so I will give you the

Take your parents to test drive them. But sorry they don't have automatics. Maybe get a Subaru Legacy GT, its turbo/awd and pulls good numbers like the STI.

if you are being serious, then good for you saving up all the money yourself. just go with a lower HP car and learn to drive and modify it slowly. honda perhaps?

if you are just messing with us, then you have done well to get all the evo members worked up over nothing.

but come on guys, relax a little, you were all 17 once!
