should i get HKS or GSC.

I have a evo 8... looking for cams... but right now im in a dilemma...

GSC has a 2-3 week waiting period and HKS is pretty much off the shelf available anywhere anytime..

I want to make it to the dynotune from dynoflash this coming weekend.

should i just either wait it off for 2-3 weeks and get the GSC?? or should i get the HKS 272s and get over with it.

I been searching for comparisons between the GSC S1s and HKS 272s but there is no dynos or testing been made since the S1s been out not too long ago.

does anyone in here clearly explain what are the differences between the two? and which one makes more power out of them...?

from my theory... the S1s make a little more hp over the HKS 272. is that true?

The GSC do make more horsepower then the HKS I believe I read one report of an evo getting 22 more horsepower when they switched from HKS to GSC. I personally have HKS 272 in my 03 Evo and I like them alot I have had no problems out of them. If your looking for the most hp and mid range to top end then go with GSC. However you said you need them for the dyno so in that case get the HKS you will not be disappointed I surely was not.

yea i heard the GSC is the best bang for your buck, but i cant find any testing results or dyno charts on the forum..

22 more HP over the HKS sounds unreal tho... i thought it was like 5-10 whp difference between the two.

He's looking to make it for a dyno tune. He didn't specify what he wants low end or top end.

As far as cams, I wanted HKS but got GSC and I couldn't be happier

Click on the link. This was not performed on a dyno though. I picked up the GSC S1's a few weeks back and just dropped them off to be put in. Looking forward to picking up my evo in a few weeks.

Go with the GSC S1 cams unless you have an upgraded turbo. I purchased these cams (Not installed yet) from TKMotorsports and there is the 2-3 week wait but that is due to them being in such demand right now.

If you go to the main page on Evom there is a long review about these cams and that is what sold me on them.

i know GSC doesn't turn out very good #'s on the EVO 9's

Not too sure about the 8's though.

I would honestly go with HKS, but these guys sound like they know more.

Ali posted an article where they took the HKS off the project Evom car and put on S1s, go to the home page and read that... I just sold my S1s because I didn't have the money to install them or get a tune.
