She loves hers. So do I actually.

Installed radio and speakers, center console, Power Door locks w/ Keyless entry (From a GSR VIII) work through the Aftermarket alarm.

Its her baby I just pay to maintain it.

I drive my RS daily, and I love every minute of it.

The things I miss most are:
1. Power Windows
2. Power Mirrors
3. Power Locks/Remote

The thing I like the most are:
1. No Wing: Wing is ugly, RS=Sleeper
2. No ABS: There are pros/cons to both sides, but I actually prefer no ABS
2. Aluminum Roof: Can't be had on GSR
3. Black Mirrors/Door Handles: Looks great on a white car
4. Price
5. Rarest EVO of them all

I love having an RS. The car is so raw. This car only has the essentials; No radio, no sound reducing materials, no ABS. It really adds to the character of the car.

I wouldn't trade the RS for any other EVO, and I paid the least amount

I did add a radio and armrest, and I wouldn't mind having power windows and mirrors.

I paid 26k out the door for my RS.
They wanted 31K for the IX.
Full tint.
Put 4 X Polk Audio speaks , Alpine H/Unit, 2 x 500w amps and 2x10's inna trunk,
Reflashed, fuelpump, MBC, Etc. And took my girl out for a happy meal with the change.
I have had to set my mirrrors once in 9k miles.
I live in Florida, so the windows are up cause its always freakin hot n humid.
And I STILL have a little left over for the speeding ticket I got last night from a Copper in a plain-jane Yukon.

Whats with all the undercover, unmarked Picup trucks, SUVs, Mustangs, etc. With windows and grills FULL of Blue and red LEDs?

i had an EVO 8 GSR SSL.
Now i got the EVO 9 RS. I just love it. Waaaaaaaaaay better then the old one.
When you talking about comfortable ride and you mention Evo ,than you far away from thruth.
SSl is smoother ,yes. MR is smoother ,yes. BUT not that much. Also those "smooth and comfortable" rides are not even close to be commonly know as comfort.

I agree with you 100% I love my RS. Who needs all that power stuff? This car is meant to go fast! Less weight = faster 1/4 mile. I also installed an aftermarket deck, and speakers.

like a good piece of sushi -- simple, with just a touch of rice.

I didn't want to pay for a carbon fiber wing, rear window wiper, and crappy stereo. I love the simplicity of the interior too -- no the fake carbon fiber bs and roll up windows. The aluminum shift knob is cool too. The interior is more quit than my last car and stereo install was very easy.

I never get tired of driving the RS every day.

I added power locks to mine. It was cheap and easy. Plus it was the only thing I discovered I couldn't live without. Anytime I offloaded passeners I would have to circle the car like den-mother to make sure all the doors were locked. Nobody thinks about manually locking their doors in 2007.

The lack of a stereo system was actually sorta cool. I more or less had a blank slate to build a custom audio setup component by component, and that's what I did...head unit, front/rear speakers, Omnifi, etc. I don't know what else I miss. I mean my wife has an Infiniti FX with all the creature comforts and, although it's a nice quiet ride, I certainly don't miss the heated seats, climate control or any of that stuff when I go back to my car. The RS is a driver's car but it's also not for everybody.

I've had my RS probably about as long as anybody (it was purchased on 5/2/2004 and has a very, very early build date). At several times in the past three years I've used it as a dailey driver. It's never been anything but safe, reliable, and fun. Is it as nice to drive around town as a G35? No. However it's just as comfortable as an economy sedan.

I drive an EVO VIII RS. I love the car. The speed, the handling, the everything. When girls are in the car though, it does get old when they ask why I have to reach around the passenger seat to unlock the back right passenger door. I don't know. I love my car to death, but if you think about it. You can spend 3k OR LESS and get everything the VIII or MR has, minus the suspension on the MR. As far as I'm concerned, you spend about $10,000 for the upgrade from a RS to an MR and only get about $3,000 increase on the resale of the car.

From a logical standpoint, the regular VIII and MR are a waste of money.
From a "cool" standpoint, the VIII and MR will look more badass with the additional features. She may ask why your RS has no power locks or windows, but she won't be asking why your car has pointy things on the top (vgenerators) or a "big wing" on the back when you're off to 60 in 4.5.
