So why is it just a waste of money? Do you want oil gunking up your air intake tube?

everything helps, if you can get it for a good price, why not. as far for that catch-can you need small battery kit. ;d

yes, check these out. they work the best. http://www.saikoumichi.com/OCC_page.htm
i have the OCC stage 1. it mounts very nicely with the included bracket to the bracket holding your BCS. just take the nut off the back, slip the bracket for the can in between, and retighten. after install i took my intake pipe and MAF off, all hot side IC pipes, and IC and cleaned them out as they were caked with sludge after 35K miles without one. the cold side pipes were still clean so i din't mess with them. but a catch can definitely helps since it's detrimental to power production when your engine is trying to ignite oil vapor mixed in with your intake charge. it lowers your detonation threshhold as weel as your IC losing it's efficiency as it's coated with a layer of oil, it will heat soak more easily and not cool as well. it's definitely not a waste of money if you want your car to run at an optimal level.
