Evo 8 turbo to Evo 9 turbo

I have a 03 Evo with 9.8 hotside and Im wondering what the difference or what should I expect from a Evo 9 turbo. I am thinking about chaging and going to the Evo 9 turbo is this worth the money to get the turbo.

Go for it! I would say, definitely do it. This is good bang for the buck as it should give you about 30 WHP once tuned. You'll need to purchase a couple of parts from the dealer to make the install easy though. Expect to pay another $40-$70 on the needed parts..

Well I think Bus. Racing sells a kit that installs things from Evo 9 to your Evo 8

All you need is the turbo outlet pipe and the oil feed line. If you buy a used turbo, make sure they include it in the sale and your set.

I think warrtalon got an Evo9 turbo for his 05 EVO and gained 25-35 HP after a tune I believe.

Many members that have made the change, likes it.

Bigger compressor side shell, and also bigger hotside housing. More cooler, less restrictive airflow=better.
