what is this hole

what is the hole behind the oil cap next to the PCV valve. (side closest to firewall)
I noticed some small drops of oil coming out of it?

I know exactly what your talking about but have no idea what it is for. Its on the top left hand side of the valve cover facing the firewall.

Well, if it is what I think it is, it drains any liquids out of the trough were the plug wires and coils are located. So, if you have drops of oil appearing there then your valve cover gaskets are leaking (that is unless you spill oil when refilling at oil change time).

but I only see drops of oil sometimes, I can go weeks without seeing oil. If it was leaking wouldn't it be a continous thing?
