Change it. IMO waiting 5000 miles to do the first oil change or any oil change in a performance car is way too long. Personally I would've done my first oil change at 500-1500 miles just to make sure there's no metal shavings and what not in the oil, but that's just me. And changing the oil is a easy 30 min. job.

get a 5 quart jug from wal-mart, usually pretty cheap there, that'll be plenty. add 4, start it, and add from there.

Should be like 5.5 quarts.....the owners manual tells you exactly and yes DONT overfill....how often you change your oil is your call.....if its new the first should be done IMO before 2000 is up....then its FINE to change it every 3000 but if you want to change it sooner thats fine its like changing your underwear 3 times a day instead of once better sooner than later.
