Ready to buy my first Import
^ Definitely. It's a whole different world. As far as acceleration goes, obviously musclecars have effortless power right away, but with Evos, the power delivery is far more exciting when you hit full boost. And when you throw handling into the equation, it's absolutely no comparison. You'll also learn to love dirt roads too.
The Evo is a good all around car with good potential output for engine modifications. There are however points that even the Evo's potential output starts to get into the serious money phase which seems to be once you have to bust into serious block work with cranks, rods, pistons, ported heads... sky is pretty much the limit.
Cheap powerful mods for these cars are simple items like exhaust, reflash the ecu, fuel pump for safety, and cams.
The other thing about imports since they don't use the drivetrains from pickup trucks tend to go boom under really stupid driving conditions like dropping the clutch at 6k rpm repeatedly.
