Hey everyone. Just getting a feel for the site. My husband and I own a srt4. Orginally my dream car until he stole it. Now I am thinking about going to the EVO9. Haven't made my decision yet. Haven't got to drive one yet that is the only thing I am waiting to make my decison!

But If I never fell in love with the srt4 the evo9 was my next choice. Since we already have a srt4 I want the evo to. And then it will be faster then the srt!!!! ha ha

you can always go RS, a little less hit on the wallet and all the performance of the other IX's(and still has AC!).

Yeah I won't settle for anything but an evo 9. The only reason I can't get it yet is cause A new truck is a lil more important right now. We are selling ours. We are also going to start doing that flip houses thing to get some extra money!! So hopefully it all works out and makes us money instead of loose it!!

Be very careful flipping houses. Now that people see it being done on TV they think thats its easy money and anyone can do it. Believe me its not easy and you will probably lose money the first time doing it. Best of luck with the houses and the new EVO!

In my opinion your best bet is a EVO IX RS. You already own a SRT-4 so not having power windows shouldn't be an issue. It's pretty damn easy to get a radio head unit installed, but remember also need to get speakers, the EVO IX RS has the wiring for speakers, but not the speakers. Not a big issue at all, 2nd week of ownership I already had a sound system installed. If you just have to have more creature comforts, then try to buy an EVO IX from California, I believe dealerships like South Coast Mitsubishi is still offering some great prices on new IXs, check out the evolutionm.net vendor forums and you'll see multiple California dealerships with their own forum sections.

I know you haven't driven a EVO before, but it's really night and day difference between a SRT-4 and EVO IX. The overall performance of a EVO is far superior to any SRT-4. Some warnings though, the EVO has a larger turbo and smaller engine than a SRT-4 and the EVO IX boosts around 19.5-20PSI stock. So yes there is some turbo lag, more than a SRT-4, so the SRT-4 may feel quicker when driving day to day and not really getting on the gas so much. But I assure you a properly driven EVO IX is a much quicker car and a few bolt ons w/ a tune really wakes the EVO IX up. Don't get me wrong I realize the SRT-4 has bolt on potential, but it's no where near the potential of a EVO IX. TBE, intake/filter, MBC, and Tune will put you well over 320whp on a dyno jet. Full bolt on and meth and you will push 400whp or more on the stock turbo and if driven correctly you can run 1/4 mile times of 11.3-11.6@117-120MPH. I mean I am not going to get into it, but the EVO has so much potential it's not even funny, their are multiple routes to take, vast amount of different combonations to take, I mean you can run meth/pump gas, straight race fuel, or ethanol, or you could go Green Turbo, GT35R, Isamu RX6, and so much more, I mean. If the SRT-4 would be the car used in a High School shop class teaching modifying cars, the EVO would be the car used in a University shop class teaching modifying cars. Hope you get the EVO
