Building a salvage EVO

Im considering between an evo 8, clean title clean motor ( I can only afford one with over 43k miles ) and a salvaged evo possibly with a blown engine and stroking it.

I would just like to hear some opinons, please dont tell me to search as I have till I was blue in the face doing research.

I plan on doing autocross, I do have experience in a FWD vehicle and RWD, no AWD yet so its going to be some major differences, I am not sure what legue I would like to compete in yet.

I would just like to hear some opinions on what you guys would do in this situation? Lets hear what and why?

Just know that if you build a salvage titled car, it will be next to impossible to sell.

from a cost perspective the salvage will prob cost more in the long run... possibly? do you have anymore details on the salvage? how is the body and frame?

If I were you i'd rather go with an evo that has 40k miles +
But, if possible, find one thats stock and has had regular maintnence done. Than even with 40k+ miles its still a baby! 40k miles really isn't much at all (if its been treated right)

ive thought about doing the same thing. it serems that if you find one thats not to damaged it would be better because most of the stuff wouldnt be needed. i would probly find one thats been under water, most iof the stuff that would be damaged would be replaced anyway right? ecu, ALL interior, most everything can get wet... right? even so you would be rebiulding everythong else anyway...
