i currently have a RR evo VIII and i was lookin into the IX....whats your opinions on this???? my VIII is at 345AWHP as of now but it grinds into 4th and 5th when im on the throttle pretty hard.....MR models are also a option.....

 

What are you plans for the IX if you get it? 345whp is a nice figure unless you want to take the IX into the 400's....

 

my plans for either the VIII or IX are in the 650 to 700 range

Keep your car. Why bury yourself under the IX? No advantages to a 700whp IX over a 700whp VIII.

 

If you weren't looking to make so much power, I'd say wait for the X to come out and see if it's worth considering as an option. But if you're shooting for 6-7 hundreds, it could probably go either way. I know that getting into the 400's is a bit easier/cheaper with the IX, any higher than that, it's anyone's guess.

Fix your car. That power level will not sit well within the stock tranny. Your move makes zero sense.

 

Keep the VIII man. Why waste more money getting a IX when your HP is at 300+?
The IX is only a little faster then the VIII. We are agreed on the IX will make more power.... but as of now the VIII is still the fastest in the world right now...

 

hte hp goal im tryin to reach will not be for a while...... take this into consideration also.....im payin 579 a month for the VII...the IX will not be in my name so i will be payin a lot less a month as far as payments go......

Ok then in that case make sure you part everything from your current Evo and when you buy the IX you can put it all in there. Good luck

 

It sounds like your trying to talk yourself out of buying the IX. I got rid of my VIII and got a IX and couldn't be happier. I like everything about the IX better. Except the HIDs. I do agree with everyone though. Since your HP goal is so high there is no advantage of the IX.

When I got rid my VIII I got very lucky and sold it for a good amount and I never lost any money in the process.My payments stay the same and my insurence went down about $80 a month I have no idea how that happened but I am not complaining. It is a very tough call man and only you can really answer it. If your mind is made up you not be happy unless you get the IX. Good luck in your choice man

the thing is that my VIII is givin me problems tranny wise.... my payments will be less.... and ill get a newer car....ill start from scratch with the mods.......i would not get the IX unless it is a MR....
