Unhappy I need help

I don't know what to do, yesterday my car got towed and they towed it from the back and my car was in gear (it's a Lancer) is there any damage that would of been done if they were pulling it backwards while it was on gear?

WTF? I would say yes. wasn't the wheels locked up the whole trip? I am sure it was in a "forward" gear correct? Did you park somewhere you shouldn't have? They obviously snatched it without your knowledge? How far did they tow it like that?

they towed it like that for 12 miles apperently, but i thought if the hand brake was on and the car would be in gear i assume they arn't alow to tow it without a flat bed. are they able to do that or what should i do?

They can take it anyway they want. WHY did they take it? Only AWD should you use/need a flatbed.

so they wouldn;t care that the car's in gear and has a handbrake on, so basically i can't claim any damages?

Was it a flat bed tow or dolly tow? In neutral not much damage would be done with a dolly tow but still...

Why did they tow it? With your permission?

How do you know they didn't take it out of gear? Sounds like another Lincoln towing victim to me.

If you parked somewhere you shouldn't, and were in for "10 minutes", it sounded like they were lying in wait for you, and did a quick "****** and grab". I don't know the laws up there, good luck. I would persue that if you notice damage.
