Thinking about moving on
Thinking about moving on
Same old story. I have had my 04 Evo since it was brand new and I am thinking about trading the it in for something new. The car is completely paid for so whatever I get in trade can go towards the new car. Leaning towards a G35 coupe. Just not feeling it for the Evo any more. I have grown tired of the yellow color and yeah the car is fast and handlings amazingly but I never use it to its full potential and never will. If I was 18 again I would, but I am not. I have been modding the car, but to what point. I am never gonna race the thing, just not my thing. Dont have the desire or the time. My girlfriend thinks its something a teenager should be driving and I am starting to see her point. I am hittin the big 30 in a week and a half. The Evo is a quite a bit above, in performance only i think, all those riced out cars you see around, but to me it still fits into the same category. It just goes faster and handles better off the showroom floor. Not looking for any opinions here, just sharing my thoughts.
Well, your point is good, and if you have a gf its even more obvious that she isnt in to the EVO. At 30 yrs old, with a gf that you've probably been with for quite some time, you gotta step on out of the tuners and go into luxury, and a G35 would be perfect for you imo.
Damn, I'm 35 and I drive an evo, should I be ashamed of myself? Maybe I'll "out grow" mine someday. I still don't know what 35 is supposed to feel like, and maybe I should feel lucky because of it. Or maybe I'll just become one of those creepy old men that drives a teenagers car and freeks the girls out.
BUY A VETTE!!!!!
BUY A VETTE!!!!!
Yeah, i dont know why but it just struck me today on my way to work. What is the point of tuning my car when I am not doing anything with that tuning. I don't race it, don't take it to shows. I just seem to buy parts and put them on. Heck I have cams, injectors, and a fuel pump, brand new sitting in my garage that I have no desire to put in the car.

Im 30, and I love my evo. Then again I enjoy track days, racing and performance vehicles.
To each their own, but dont catagorize the evo into a riced out mobile just cause you feel like you are too old to own one. Break the mold and stigma behind the vehicle, keep it professional and down to business.
Yea, and dump the chump girlfriend, sounds like she has your ***** in a box anyway.

I look at the M3 and I think of the ***hole salesman at my job who drives one, and then the ***hole CEO that drives one.
I just hit the big two-six and am proud to drive one of the best handling cars in the world. The Evo is NOT a kids car, despite what the movies portray.
Get whatever you want man, but I wouldn't dump an Evo just because my girlfriend said it's a kid's car. Because I would point out the fact she knew jack squat about cars.
