2007 Eclipse Spyder Or 2006 Evo9????????
2007 Eclipse Spyder Or 2006 Evo9????????
Guys here is my dilemma. I already own a 2005 evo8, and I am tired of dealing with people trying to sell my SRT-4. So I have decided to trade it!Which would be the better choice? an evo or a eclipse(spyder)?
have you spent a lot of money on mods on your Evo8??,.... if not,.. trade both and get a 9.
most dealers have to get rid of them and will lower the price (if not already lowered)
me, personaly, the Eclipse is nice but it's kindda girly.
good luck.

Yeah I Could do that too! But I love my 8. Plus I have mods on it!
why do you have two cars? If one is your wife's or something I'd let her look at different cars. Don't just stick with mitsu either, evo's are great and all but 4g eclipse's are outclassed by other cars for the same price. I know I'd much rather a 350z vert or something but you might need to figure out whats best for SLC.

I would have never purchased a Mitsubishi if they didn't finally bring over the Evo in 2003.

I would rethink the purchase of an Eclipse. It's definately not a bad looking car. Mitsu did fine in that department. It's just a nose-heavy FWD pig. You've already got a nose-heavy FWD car with an a$$ that sticks up in the air. Do you really want another? Going from an SRT-4 to an Eclipse is a step down IMHO. I used to own an SRT-4. I sold it private party and yes...it was an absolute nightmare...but the depreciation that Dodge's see automatically eliminates dealer trade as a financially viable option. You'll throw away thousands. Be patient. You'll sell the SRT-4 in time and you'll be better for it.

I test drove an 06 Eclipse about a month ago - both the manual and the sportronic. It was a sweet ride. The interior is classy and really comfortable. The Rockford Fosgate stereo was amazing. And the drive was smooth and solid. But it wasn't fast at all. Getting used to the Evo can be a curse. Not many cars deliver the same experience as the Evo. I just expected more from the new Mivec and 263 HP. Still, though, I might eventually own one...
I just dealt with so many losers. On the phone and by email they were all serious and once we finally met up it was all about "once I sell my Mazda 626" or "if this guy buys my Civic Si" when I asked them if they were ready to pull the trigger after the test drive. Eventually I stopped meeting people at my house and started meeting them down the street at the local Safeway grocery store. Reason being is that I had to start saying "we'll save the test drive for when you have cash in hand" and people would get really pissed at me because of the distances some of them travelled to see the car. In the end I refused to be a provider of pro bono test drives. The car was on Mopar S2 coilovers, aftermarket rims/tires, a Mopar S2 turbo upgrade and a 3" TBE. It handled pretty good and absolutely hauled butt. I eventually learned how to tell the serious buyers. People who were serious about buying the car didn't care that much about power. They were more interested in the condition of the car's exterior, interior, service history, warranty coverage and mileage. In the end I sold it for $17k. It was an '04 fully loaded (sun roof, side airbags, sound system) with 23k miles. Mitsubishi offered me $11k for it on trade. In the end it was all worth it.
