I just got a hallman pro rx, and was wondering if i can put it in without a tune. i'm planning on tuning in a few months, but i was wanted to know if i could run like 21-22 psi right now. also will it eliminate the boost tapering off at 6k? or will my boost still drop down? someone told me if i up the boost even just 1-2psi that i will run too rich and could be really bad for my engine is this true?

 

I recomend getting a tune as soon as you install it

 

a tune is always good, but my shop guy told me i can run 19psi safely with TBE and Drop in, but i am just wait till i get enough money to get my car tuned, and put the MBC in be4 that.

 

I would wait for the tune. Also, you will need the stiff spring with the ceramic ball. I could only boost 18psi without the stiff spring and metal ball. Live and learn....haha....that was almost 3 years ago.

 

i run about 20 peak and hold 17-18 psi on a completely stock MR
no problems at all

 

You can run the mbc now. Get yourself a cheap base flash for a nice 40-50hp increase. The boost will still taper quite a bit on the top end.
