Boost control problems, running out of ideas!

Okay gents i need opinions here, im currently getting tuned by Tom on E85 and my boost will spike to 29-30psi but will fall to 20psi or so and it will not hold 25-26psi like Toms says it should and currently making 350hp with the mods on my sig. Ive done a boost leak test twice and fixed every boost leak also preloaded the wastegate to the max and its still doing the same thing by the way I have a grimmspeed ebc. Could it be the 3 port acting up or the wastegate is shot ?

Are you sure it's the 3-port or WG? What have you done with duty cycle and boost error correction to diagnose this? I don't mean to disrespect Tom, just asking.

I should also say that when I do a boost leak test all the way to 15psi the pressure goes down really really slow, that should be normal right ? If the 3 port wasnt working I wouldnt be able to boost to 30psi and hold 20psi or im just running 20psi from the WG being preloaded to the max and the 3 port is not working properly ?

I'm not an expert by any means but if you connected your 3 port correctly then it must be wg.goldish color is stock wg color.i.feel your spring is to soft and you need wg actuator with 25psi spring(red color).good luck.

You can test the WG by putting @ 12 psi to the inlet of the WG. See if it holds for 10 seconds. If it does then it's not the WG.

What is tom saying about all this?? Are you sure you have the 3 port hooked up correctly? I'm leaning more towards a faulty wga

Ok so can you double check how you connected your 3port before you buy new wg?J pipe line goes to port 3(middle) and wg line goes to port 2(facing driver) and port uno not connected right?.

Exactly like that! I guess the stock WG doesnt want to hold 25-26 psi.
